Phan Rang

Phan Rang is rich in Cham cultural heritage, which is reflected in its language, script, art, and craftsmanship. From the intricate design of earthen towers and stone statues to the skillful creation of embroidered fabrics, knitting, brocade weaving, and pottery, the Cham people have long taken pride in their artistic traditions. One of their most iconic achievements is the ancient Cham towers, constructed using terracotta, which stand as a testament to their architectural mastery.

The image of Cham dancers, often carved into temple walls, offers a glimpse into the region's vibrant cultural past, with the sculpture of Tra Kieu women being one of its finest masterpieces. Cham folk architecture, an integral part of Vietnam’s national culture, boasts a rich history and deep traditions.

The Cham people’s hands and creative minds have contributed to a diverse and evolving culture, showcasing the process of cultural exchange and development over time. Brocade weaving is a cherished traditional profession within the Cham community. As young girls come of age, they are taught to weave, with scarves and robes serving as a symbol of their resourcefulness and creativity.

Nha Trang - Hon Khoi

Hon Khoi is a picturesque salt-making region, renowned for its stunning landscapes and hardworking people. Located approximately 40 kilometers north of Nha Trang, between Khanh Hoa and Ninh Hoa, it is a popular destination for photographers both local and international, drawn by the unique beauty of the salt production process.

Visitors to Hon Khoi can witness the daily life of salt workers in the fields. Early in the morning, before the heat of the day sets in, these dedicated workers begin their labor, carefully harvesting the salt from the fields.

Remarkably, the primary labor force in these salt fields is made up entirely of women. With only a few bamboo baskets, they skillfully gather and process the salt, showcasing their resilience and expertise.
