Ancient and serene, Hoi An is one of Vietnam's most popular destinations, appealing to travelers from all over the world. This charming town exemplifies what the Vietnamese tourism ministry aims to showcase globally.
The Hue Citadel, which has stood for over two centuries since 1802, is a vast complex and the most significant site of the Nguyen Dynasty. Today, Hue City still boasts numerous architectural landmarks, temples, and palaces that embody exceptional cultural and architectural value. Despite experiencing many challenges throughout its history, the Hue Citadel remains a testament to its enduring beauty.
During the 143 years of the Nguyen Dynasty, it was a vibrant and prosperous center, bearing witness to both conflict and culture. It served as the cultural heart of Vietnam at that time, featuring the majestic architecture of palaces and ancient tombs. In 1993, the historic complex of the ancient capital of Hue was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Landmark features
HOI AN
Hoi An, once a major trading post in Southeast Asia during the 16th and 17th centuries, is essentially a living museum showcasing old-town architecture. Notable heritage buildings include Chinese temples, a Japanese-designed bridge, pagodas, wooden shop houses, French colonial homes, and ancient canals. Although large-scale trading has since shifted elsewhere, Hoi An has successfully preserved and restored its charming roots, earning recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site in December 1999.
At night, the Hoi An Riverside is the perfect place to be, illuminated by quaint, old-fashioned lanterns that create an atmospheric and enchanting setting. These key characteristics make Hoi An a favorite destination for photographers drawn to its picturesque beauty.
HUE IMPERIAL CITY
Hue, located on the banks of the Huong River (also known as the Perfume River), is about three hours north of Da Nang. Among the most impressive monuments in this former imperial capital are the Ngo Mon Gate, which was exclusively used by the royal family and their eunuch servants, as well as the tombs of Emperor Minh Mang and Emperor Tu Duc.
The Complex of Hue Monuments is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hue was established as the capital of Vietnam by Gia Long, the first king of the Nguyen Dynasty, in 1802, and it held this position for nine Nguyen dynasties until 1945.
ENJOY A PEACEFUL DAY AT TAM GIANG LAGOON
AO DAI HUE -VIETNAMESE TRADITIONAL
In the land of rain and sunshine, the pannier sellers command respect. Dressed in faded ao dai from years of hard work, sometimes patched due to a lack of fabric or adorned with precious velvet, these women exude elegance. They are as light as clouds, as gentle as rice, and as fragrant as summer lotus blossoms in the ponds and lakes of the Ancient Capital.
Situated in the heart of Vietnam's S-shaped landscape, Hue is known for its beautiful scenery and delicious cuisine. Whether you are a traveler, a writer, a musician, or a photographer, visiting Hue without encountering the girls in slender ao dai and conical hats would make your journey incomplete. You would leave without truly capturing the essence of "Hue".
